The Atlantic City Airshow has been canceled for the second year in a row, with organizers citing a "strategic pause" for 2025. The Greater Atlantic City Chamber announced the decision, explaining that the pause will allow them to reassess the event's operations, costs, and logistics. They aim to bring back the airshow in 2026.

The airshow, a major attraction along the Atlantic City shoreline, was previously canceled in 2024 due to the withdrawal of a major act. Despite financial challenges, the event has historically drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors to Atlantic City's beaches and boardwalk. In 2023, it attracted 485,000 people, contributing significantly to the local economy.

The chamber remains optimistic about the airshow's future, emphasizing its importance as New Jersey's largest free event and a 20-year tradition. They are committed to preserving its legacy while adapting to current economic realities.

Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small noted that the airshow typically brings in over 500,000 people and generates a $50 million economic boost for the area. The chamber hopes to ensure the long-term viability of the airshow and continue its role in supporting the tourism economy.

For now, the community and visitors will have to wait until 2026 to see the return of the daring flight maneuvers over the Atlantic City boardwalk.
