Steven Spielberg's latest film, a UFO-themed movie, is bringing excitement and economic benefits to the Jersey Shore. The production, which is set to begin filming next week in Cape May County, has already positively impacted local businesses in Tuckahoe and Woodbine. According to NBC Philadelphia, local establishments such as Ludlam Island Brewery have seen increased patronage during what is typically a slow season. Billy Topley, the owner of Ludlam Island Brewery, noted the unusual winter boost, saying, "It's nice to feel a full bar this time of year."

The film crew, which includes stars Emily Blunt and Wyatt Russell, has also been spotted in North Jersey. Their presence has led to higher occupancy rates at local hotels, including Impala Suites in Ocean City. Chris Glancey from Shorebreak Resorts commented on the unexpected impact, stating, "It's quite an impact, and it's great."

Michele Gillian, executive director of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, highlighted how the influx of people is benefiting the local economy. "It really does give that extra boost, and it exposes Ocean City to a different environment for these people that come in and do filming," she said.

While the movie's title and filming wrap date remain undisclosed, the production continues to draw attention and anticipation from locals and businesses alike.
