Tamar Braxton Says She 'Almost Died', Found In 'Pool Of Blood'

Tamar Braxton says she recovering from a near-death experience.

On Tuesday (August 19), Braxton, 48, took to her Instagram Stories to share details about an incident, during which she "almost died" and was "found in a pool of blood."

“I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury.” Braxton said, per PEOPLE. “I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. 💔💔 The way I look at life now is totally different.”

The circumstances surrounding the near-fatal incident remain unclear.

“As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins… pray for me for real 💔💔💔💔 I don’t even know what happened to me 💔💔,” the singer said.

In an earlier Instagram post, Braxton expressed gratitude for a new day, writing “Thank you God for waking me up today" alongside the song “Spirit Lead Me” by Clavier.

News of Braxton's injuries comes after she announced plans in March to prepare for a tour.

“It is OFFICIALLY tour time!!!!” Braxton wrote alongside a video of herself singing her 2013 hit “Stay and Fight.” The singer promised “a whole new set list… and the new music STARTS HERE!!!” Braxton also shared a photo showing her commitment to getting healthier.

“Bday is over so no more drinks…. No more carbs… all body and VOICE!!!” she wrote.
