Early voting in New Jersey starts this Saturday (October 25) and will continue through Sunday, November 2. Registered voters across the state can cast their ballots at designated locations from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The gubernatorial race is particularly competitive this year, with Republican Jack Ciattarelli and Democrat Mikie Sherrill vying for the governor's seat. Recent polls indicate a tight race, with Sherrill holding a slight lead.
In addition to the governor's race, voters will also decide on state assembly and senate seats. The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, with polling places open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can also opt to vote by mail, with applications due by October 28 for mail delivery or by November 3 for in-person requests. Mail ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received by November 10.
For those choosing to vote early, locations are available in each county, and no appointment is necessary.
