Nicki Minaj is doubling down on her support for President Donald Trump — this time by backing one of the administration’s most high-profile economic initiatives.
The rapper appeared on Wednesday (January 28) at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., where she praised the rollout of the administration’s new investment accounts for children and publicly aligned herself with the president amid ongoing backlash.
“I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj told the crowd after Trump invited her and businessman Kevin O’Leary onstage. “The hate — or what people have to say — it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more.”
“We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him,” she continued. “He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen?”
According to CNBC, Minaj plans to contribute between $150,000 and $300,000 to support Trump Accounts, a tax-advantaged investment program created under Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
Minaj announced her involvement earlier this week in a post on X, calling the initiative “The true meaning of paying it forward.”
“Early financial literacy & financial support for our children will give them a major head start in life,” she wrote. “In some cases, they will end up teaching their very own parents how to invest & what to invest in. This makes me very happy.”
Trump Accounts are designed for U.S. citizens born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, according to the White House. Each eligible child would receive a one-time $1,000 seed contribution from the federal government, with families, employers, and philanthropists able to contribute additional funds.
Annual contributions are capped at $5,000, and the funds are invested in a broad stock market index. Account holders do not gain access to the money until age 18, when withdrawals are subject to standard IRA rules. The White House claims that if fully funded and left untouched, an account could grow to as much as $1.9 million by age 28.
Minaj joins a growing list of Trump-aligned donors backing the program. In December 2025, Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell and his wife, Susan Dell, pledged more than $6 billion to Trump Accounts for children who would not otherwise qualify for the federal seed contribution.
At the time, Trump called the donation “truly one of the most generous acts in the history of our country,” adding that he expected other companies and allies to follow suit.
“I’ll be doing it, too,” he said.
Wednesday’s appearance is the latest in a string of public moments signaling Minaj’s increasing alignment with the MAGA movement. In November, she appeared at the United Nations as a guest of the Trump administration to speak about religious violence overseas.
She also took the stage at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest in December, where she praised Trump and his administration during a conversation with Erika Kirk.
“I have the utmost respect and admiration for our president,” Minaj said at the event. “I don’t know if he even knows this, but he’s given so many people hope.”
