Kenzi J here....Recently I had the incredible opportunity to chat with Nathan Morris from the legendary R&B group, Boyz II Men, on 96.11 WTTH. As we reminisced about their iconic hits and enduring legacy, I couldn't help it...I started to look forward to seeing them perform live again. Lucky enough....they have an upcoming show at the Borgata in Atlantic City on 8/16 (Purchase tickets here)!
During our interview, Nathan gave us a sneak peek into what fans can expect from the show. “A lot of energy man, and you know a lot of excitement. We call Atlantic City home because it’s so close to Philly and we spent so much time there as kids. It’s always like a homecoming for us so we get very excited about those shows.”
We talked briefly about artists conforming their art to stay relevant and trendy however Nathan reassured us that Boyz II Men has no interest in changing their sound and pivoting in society direction. He hinted at some surprises that will leave the audience wanting more but said, “It really depends on what type of audience we’re performing for. Our objective is to continue to sound like us. We just try to stay true to who we are and what we do and let the chips fall where they may.” (con't)
During 2020, Nathan turned one of his home garages into a wood workshop. He likes to stay productive by learning something new every day, from technology to workshops in the garage Nathan is sure to keep those creative juices flowing.
Although the east coast is Nathan’s first home he is enjoying the weather at his Florida home. What a perfect excuse to be a Miami Dolphins fan right? My thoughts exactly! So imagine my surprise when Nathen said, “Miami Dolphins?! I think we play ya’ll this year. The greatest team in the world.. BANG BANG 9ers GANG!”
Before ending the interview Nathan made sure to thank the fans for all the love and continued support throughout the years and can’t wait to see you all at his upcoming shows.
